Please take the following steps to register for the 2017 meeting of the Society for Anthropology (GfA):
- Complete the registration form for participants. This process will determine the fees and charges you are required to pay. Detailed instructions concerning the individual form items are given below. If you do not know how to complete PDF forms or encounter technical problems, have a look at our tips for completing PDF forms.

- Transfer the total payment to the GfA bank account.

After registration, you may submit an abstract for a podium or poster presentation.
Directions for completing the registration form
Please fill in the fields and tick boxes of the registration form. Required items are marked with asterisks (*); these you will have to fill in at any rate. Other items might be optional or conditional. The following instructions will address the form items by their numbers, which are also printed in the form.
- 01./02. Your name
Please provide your first and family name. If you have several given names, you can list them all under 01. First name(s).
- 03. Institution
Please enter the name of the institution that you are affiliated with as you would like to have it on your name tag at the meeting.
- 06. – 09. Addresses
Please enter your postal and email addresses under which you would like us to contact you.
- 10. Your GfA membership status for 2017
Please provide information on whether you will be a member of the Society for Anthropology at the time of the meeting. If you are a member, please indicate whether you are paying the full membership fee (option 10.a) or the reduced rate (option 10.b, granted students, unemployed persons and welfare recipients). If you are a nonmember, please indicate if you are a student (option 10.d) or not (option 10.c). This information will determine your registration fee. Nonmember students have to submit a copy of their certificate of enrolment, or other proof of their status, along with this registration. Please mark not more than one of the check boxes, even though the software you are using for filling in the form might let you do this.
- 11. Time of registration
Please indicate if you are registering on/before (option 11.a) or after 15 July 2017 (option 11.b). This information will determine your registration fee. Please mark not more than one of the check boxes, even if the software you are using for filling in the form might allow you do this.
- 12. How long are you going to attend the meeting?
Please indicate if you will attend the entire meeting (option 12.a) or if you would just like to drop in for a day or two. If the latter is the case, please indicate the relevant day(s) under option 12.b. On the right hand side, fill in the participation fees that are applicable to your membership status (cf. form item 10), the time of registration (cf. form item 11) and the amount of time you are going to spend at the meeting (this form item). To find our your appropriate fees, see the table of registration fees provided above. Note that even for attending just two days, it might be cheaper to book the entire meeting.
- 13. Conference dinner
Add the individual fees that got filled in during steps 12 and 13 and write the sum into the field ‚total payment due‘. This is the amount you have to pay.
- 14. Bank transfer
When you have transferred the total payment to the GfA bank account (cf. above), tick the box. This will indicate to our treasurer that you have taken care of the payment.
- 15. Date
You are done. You can now save/print and mail the form (cf. above).
