The Slavia Field School in Mortuary Archaeology is training students of physical anthropology and archaeology at two medieval burial sites in Poland, Giecz and Drawsko. The course comprises guided field and laboratory work as well as formal and informal teaching. There are two sessions:
24 June – 17 July 2019
18 July – 10 August 2019
The course is aimed at international students, teaching and work coordination will be in English. Accommodation and meals will be provided on site. Costs will be communicated on request. The organisers estimate that all course placements are usually filled by mid-March. However, there is no formal deadline and requests are accepted until the beginning of the courses.
