Assistant Professor of Mediterranean Archaeology at Groningen

The Groningen Institute of Archaeology (GIA) at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) offers a position which combines teaching and administration (ca. 40%) with research (ca. 60%). Tasks include the development of teaching programmes and research within the GIA Mediterranean Archaeology research group, in cooperation with local departments.

Applicants need to hold a PhD in archaeology with a specialisation in either osteoarchaeology or geoarchaeology and demonstrate good communication skills in English and the willingness to learn Dutch within two years.
