Workgroup ‚Data Standardisation and Modelling‘

,

The Society for Anthropology (Gesellschaft für Anthropologie, GfA) has a new workgroup dedicated to the standardisation and modelling of research data in biological anthropology. During its regular assembly on 26 September 2019 at the GfA meeting in Göttingen, the GfA membership approved a motion in favour of forming the group.

Interested meeting participants gathered on 27 September for an informal exchange of ideas (see image). It was decided that the first formal meeting of the workgroup ‚Data Standardisation and Modelling‘ (Arbeitsgruppe Datenstandardisierung und -modellierung, ADSM), at which the group will be formally constituted, should be held early in 2020. Information about this upcoming meeting will be distributed through the workgroup’s webpage.

GfA members can download a report on the informal meeting in Göttingen from the internal section of the GfA website. You can find information how to become a member here.
